eeep Im such a norty blogger!

truth be told - I went into Mackay or a week for a holiday and since I got back the kids have been sick and I have been slack!! So that is my reasons :D I cant believe its been nearly a month. If it wasnt for forums people would have thought Id fallen off the face of the earth!

Something exciting this month! I have a layout in the current SC that I had forgotten about. So that is a nice surprise :) I think its on page 112.

Here are some of the layouts Ive been working on during November.

The following layout was for a sketch challenge at a CC. But it wasnt close enough to the sketch so I had to redo it. I got a bit carried away :D

This next layout is the remake of the previous one .... this time you can actually see the sketch design! haha. Im not too keen on the papers used in this layout but its the only papers I had that were only pink and white - the other challenge criteria.

This next one is using a photo of me, brianna and my mum but its BLURRY!!! so frustrating cos we are all smiling and looking at the camera - very hard to do!!! The layout was taught in a class by the wonderfully talented Marni Telford.

I love this layout! i tried a few new things with this. marni has inspired me to be more creative with my layout shapes so for this i got 3 strips of paper and glued them together. this made my layout be not exactly square. u can see the cream paper is up at the bottom and at the top. lots of distressing and sewing and even a bit of paper piecing! this is based roughly on a becky fleck sketch.

Over at Crafting in Style Ive started a 10 week stamping inspiration course! If you are anything like me, you have bought a fair few acrylic stamps and while you use them sometimes you are SURE u can more out of those gorgeous little things! More techniques, more ideas, more inspiration!!! So starting this week we are going to be getting down and dirty in the Tips & Techniques section of the CIS forums. There will be paint, ink, felt, fabric, paper (i cant give too much else away!) flying left right and centre ... making a massive creative mess!!!!!

The stamping technique focused on this week is stamping on cardstock and then colourising with crayons/pens/watercolours/coloured pencils!!! You can check out more about this in this thread.

Here is the first example I created:
I stamped a AL journalling stamp, then blended a light green around the edges with coloured pencil, then added a chipboard title and topped it off with a hambly overlay!!!

Here is my second example (this layout was also done for a CC at Chookscraps):
For these stamped images i stamped with umber versacube, then doodled over the top with a zig marker, then highlighted the flowers/butterfly with colouring pencils. the butterfly is handdrawn.

And here is one last layout I have done! This was also for the Chookscraps CC. ive tried to portray how agitated i can be sometimes by the scratchiness of the doodling over the blue alpha stickers, the stitching around the tab folder, and also how ive gone over my journalling a few times.

Phew thats alot of layouts to upload at once. Ill be my normal blogger self now :D

Once last reminder. Dont forget the class im teaching this sunday at Crafting in Style! We are doing a Christmas layout so get in the festive mood!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!
